Hi
Does anybody out there know if an inner tube for a 20" X 1 1/8 (406) Tyre is interchangable with a 20" X 1 1/8 (451) Tyre????
Many Thanks

No. One is an American size the other UK.

There is a section on the CTC desktop, hopefully on that link. Compatible tyres are in the same blocks on the chart.

And I forgot to add that I think the inner tubes are too far apart.

That is probably a better link for inner tubes - the Schwalbe UK site. Inner tubes are grouped, obviously they have a bit more size latitude than tyres. I think the two sizes you mention are in different groups.

Yes, you can put a 406 in a 451 tyre, it just needs a little stretch when fitting it.
I have 451s on the Bike Friday and 406 on the Trice and use the same inners. It makes for easy spares.
Of course the tyres are not interchangeable.
