Have plane tickets out to Bodo, back from Tromso in June/July. Have Cappelens CK52 map, Lonely planet & other bits n pieces - but looking for some 1st hand views.
Intending a Slooooow tour with the odd walk taking in the bestest bits & not necessarily every bit. camping as far as poss as weather and budget dictates. Can any one recommend any mustn't miss places, side roads, day walks and camping spots ( inc. rough camping)

Re: Lofoten & Vesteralen - bestest bits ?
You can't go far wrong with most parts of the Lofoten isles Vesteralen, personally I would make sure you visit the outlying islands of Røst and Værøy for the bird life and some great walks. Moskenesøya has some wonderful scenery with good walks and the view from Reine is considered one of the best in Norway. Make sure you visit the fishing villages such as at Å and Nusfjord with their maroon painted wooden Rorbu. The Lofotr Viking museum at Borg is worth a visit, also checkout some of the wonderful sandy beaches on the west side of the islands.
