The Northamptonshire County Council launched the orbital cycle route yesterday.

A fundamental feature of the launch were the benefits to fitness and the environment, and they urge individuals in all of their literature to contact their employer about subscribing to the Bike2Work scheme.

As a teacher, and therefore employee of Northamptonshire County Council, I'd love to know how I can a) get them to reply to my emails, phone calls and tweets so that b) they'll start doing what they want everybody else to do.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

It's a bit of a joke to be honest.

If you cycle the section down the old Duston Mill Lane you will come to a large metal gate across the foot / cycle path which at present is very firmly locked :!:

You need to divert to the Sixfields roundabout & follow the road down to the Stortons car park by the new barage lake to avoid this obstruction.

Superbly planned

Edit: This obstruction has now been removed :D

I've noticed it more and more as I've started commuting into town from Ketteringish.

The collection of concrete blocks and broken glass near Moulton Park is one of my favourites.

I'm staying on the A43!
