They're all self interested liars anyway. We would of just had a broader spectrum of self interested liars.

It's a fact, 95% of politicians give the rest a bad name

The British people, famous for their sense of fairness, have deemed that FPTP is the fairest system - with a 2 to 1 majority!
Projected to lose one thousand seats by the media and polls, the conservatives actually GAINED 80 seats, with the only credible opponents (labour) being trounced in scotland and the south.
A fantastic result for the natural party of governance.
Thanks to all of you on the left that were divided like sheep to allow victory for the right.

It's a shame.
Watching the news this morning it's obvious most didn't understand it and presumed it was 'unfair' and so voted no.
To me it's a simple statement.
I'd like A, but if I can't have that I'd prefer B over C.
This is exactly how we make decisions in groups.
Instead we've got.
I'd like A but since I can't have that I no longer have a say.

We are aware - because I chatted to the officials at our polling station whom I know very well - that many people didn't understand the question properly.
I wish I'd asked for a form to keep.
Anyone only half intelligent with half a brain could understand the question, but you would be surprised the amount of people that didn't.
Any road up, this is a sad day for democracy.
It wasn't the NO campaign that won, it was the YES campaign that lost due to poor publicity and their inability to counter the stupid claims of the NO's.
Clegg should resign, and the LibDems come out of the coalition. The Tory's would then collapse and we can have another general election. This would result in a far different outcome than a year ago as we all now know what a shower the Torys are and that Labour weren't that bad after all!

They were PRETTY bad! So we're left with Hobson's choice! If an election were called now I truly don't know what I'd do, I resent voting for the least worst. I'd hoped the coalition meant the politicians would have to argue their case with eachother and policies that won the debate would be carried forward. How long did that last? I'm now so angry with the lot of them it would be an effort not to punch any canvassers coming to my door

That's considerably less than half of 'The British people' eligible to vote

On the brighter side, the Greens are now the majority party in Brighton & Hove

Yep, the Lib Dems would be annihilated and we'd be back to the 2 party system that FPTP was designed for - Good plan!
as we all now know what a shower the Torys are and that Labour weren't that bad after all!

I dont think that they would mind, I fear that if a general election was called right now that the Tories would get their majority.

The worst thing in all of this is that democracy won't be served and the reason is that most people won't or can't think!
Which is precisely what the cosy commons boys club wants.
So we'll bimble along expecting these self seeking nest featherers to do whats best for the "country" ,Yeah right.
BTW Nutsy you're a pillock lad!
