I believe that there are two kinds of sadist in the world.
The first are the stupid ones who just do it for a hobby.
The second are the clever ones who manage to get paid for it. They are generally known as physiotherapists.

There is a third type similar to the second, they're called Osteopaths.

Well, he's given me a nice sheet of exercises...so now he doesn't even need to be present when he's inflicting agonies on me!
On the positive side he didn't tell me to stop riding bikes

I know how you feel I just luuuurved my Physio each time she gave me another set of exercises to do. It was usually on a Thursday, I did them most assiduously on Friday and by Saturday would be crying in the shower as I tried to loosen my shoulder off...
.... But then I am a Midwife and you know the difference 'tween a Midwife and a terrorist.....
..You can negotiate with a terrorist...

My chiropractor (an exceptionally good-looking young Asian woman) cured my bad back. But I still keep going back.

That's good!
I had an achy knee a year or so ago. It was quite painful walking, especially down stairs or down a slope, so I went to see the nurse. She asked me some damn fool questions etc and had a prod and a poke at it.
I told her that I'd been for a 20mile bike ride that morning and it was fine on a bike, even up hills. It only hurt when I walked.
She told me off for riding a bike with a bad knee!
Silly woman.
I never went back and my knee is fine.

I always thought phsiotherapy was a bit of a waste of time until I met my previous GF, she was one. And I have to say I was wrong and that they do a marvelous job. She cured me of many aches and pains after long painful days working on building sites. During the various muscle rubs and massages it hurt like hell but afterwards the pain always vanished, big up for physios

'Beat me!' cried the masochist.
'No!' replied the sadist!
