CTC LEJOG B&B 14 DAY ROUTE
Posted: 19 May 2011, 6:59pm
Hello all,
I am about to attempt the LEJOG in a few weeks time, and have mapped out my route, booked the b&bs, and am now trying to get the route onto my newly-purchased Garmin 705.
I must confess that I am a complete novice when it comes to mapping technology. I have opened an account on bikeroutetoaster and was under the impression that I could upload the CTC 14 day b&b route. From here, I was hoping to make the relevant adjustments to my course, although the first 4 days are bang on. However, it is at this point that I am struggling.I may be misreading the info on the map page, but it says to scroll down for the gpx file, yet I see nothing.
Another point. On bikeroutetoaster, is it just me, or is the whole 'saving' procedure clunky? Sometimes, when I am saving a course onto toaster, it is coming up without all of the course points which I had just painstakingly plotted, and just has the start/finish points. Please forgive me if I'm sounding a bit daft, but this is all pretty new to me.
Could any kind souls advise as to where I'm going wrong? Any feedback would be gratefully received.
cheers,
Michael
