I hope Trafford council don't hear about this and decide to fine cyclists who don't use cycle lanes.
They have a very poor record on enforcing cycle lanes bounded by a solid white line which their employees painted, and cars are allowed to park on them.
It'd be a real money spinner for them if they could fine cyclists for not cycling in cycle lanes blocked by parked cars, and such a policy would probably prove popular with the local car mad electorate too. The inability to park anywhere and everywhere whenever you want for no cost is a hot topic locally.
