Fluo Yellow Short Sleeve Tops

Post by deliquium »

Some years ago the CTC shop used to sell really good mid weight reasonably priced plain fluo yellow cycling tops with the usual 3 rear pockets. Anyone suggest plain alternatives?

What about Lusso?

Their stuff is widely available and generally not such a rip-off price as some famous names. They do change the range every five minutes and their www says it only shows part of the range so the present situation is not clear on there. I always wear a flo yellow top when cycling and in summer it is usually a Lusso Coolmax one.

I was given a breathable plain fluoro t-shirt a few weeks ago in my goody bag for the Barcelona Marathon. I was dead chuffed. Unfortunately it's for running rather than cycling, so has no back pockets, but it'll be brilliant for my summer commute.

Oh hang on, it cost me a few hundred quid to get over there. Perhaps it wasn't so free after all.

Have you looked at Altura's range? I bought one of their "Stream" jerseys recently - there is a narrow black panel down each side under the arms, but that is hardly visible when the jersey is being worn.

Mike Dyason's brochure (one comes occasionally with "Cycle") shows an OZZO jersey in three colours including yellow, but doesn't say whether if is flou.

If your not fussed about pockets, most Workwear Suppliers do a fluo yellow polo shirt with reflective bands .Don't know what it's made of and haven't tried one.

JJB Sports have a good range of Hi-Viz gear, all at heavily discounted prices. I picked up a Gilet for £8.99 which as 2 zipped pockets and a Jacket the same with two pockets, can't remember the price now. If you don't mind the JJB logo on the back, it's a good buy. Here's the link:
