Hi i bought something on this forum before and never received the item which was lost in transit apparently and then was refused a refund of my money. Is there any way to report bad feedback on a seller?

No, sorry, this is purely a small ads facility.

There are no processes and procedures if things go wrong. Alas, due to the nature of disputes in such situations ( one person's word against another ) we cannot get involved really.

Thus it can only be "buyer beware AND possibly seller beware" with a fallback to the normal legal framework in such a situation.

Be aware that some of the people, using the small ads, are CTC members. Others are not, but we are a community of cyclists and honourable behaviour is the norm.

We get the occassional report of a transaction going wrong, but it would appear that the vast majority of transactions are successfully completed.

The "Lost in the post" situation is one that most people don't seem to consider and it can lead to distrust and disappointment.

* If an item is lost in the post, who bears the loss/responsibility ??
* Is the posted item adequately insured ( or insured at all ) ? Who pays for the insurance - buyer or seller.
* Should the seller send it "registered" to check that the item is received ?

Our Small ads information is here

it was just dissapointing, If i post and the item gets lost in the post I will refund the buyer instantly and claim back the money from royal mail who insure all items up to £25 with the correct proof and records of sale. So when I was told that I was to receive no recompense from the seller it was very annoying as I know that this is not the case.
