Probably not if it is an organised event, but it is probable that those who will be on the organised may not need to post on here, ie many of the posters on here seem to be doing it solo or with a couple of mates. That means they come on here for all sorts of advise re routes, accommodation, carrying kit and getting to and from start and finish. Whereas much of this sorted by the organisation (I presume) you are travelling with.

Also it is quite along way off so people are probably not thinking that far ahead yet.

Thanks Eileithyia. I was really only joking when I said I was on my own. From what I have read there will be a load of company on the Peak Tours ride next year. I just wish it wasn't so far in the future but there is no way I can go this year as my daughter is getting married in September and I am, naturally, on a three line whip.

3 weeks tomorrow for me!

It's fair to say my anxiety is getting the better of me at the moment. Loss of appetite and everything. :?

Good luck to all, fingers crossed for the weather.

3 weeks before my JOGLE too. Still not decided on which bike. Have a route planned as far as Carlisle with accomodation booked. I have my train booked to get there.
I need to get more cycling clothing, a more comfortable helmet, a map or sat nav (or both).

Its a tough one, the Dawes Kingpin (right) is tried and tested and easier to get on the train. The Royal Enfield Revelation has far better weight distribution, is lighter and has drum brakes so I won't have to change brake pads every 2-3 days.

OK, all my stuff is on the spare bed waiting to be packed. Just have to clean and lube the bike tonight and I am ready for the train on Saturday. Ride starts from LE on Sunday.

Keep an eye out for a Fat Bloke and a skinny woman struggling up the hill out of Marazion on the way to St Austell, probably trying to keep the front wheel on the ground with the weight in the rear panniers....
