I use an GNU IE addon called ispell. It is handy for all spell checking on line but doesn't work correctly here. It seems to correct the word ok but not cleanly overwrite the incorrect spelling.

It seems to work elsewhere ok, even on other phpBB boards. On here it can *handlisolateded* words but gets muddled in body text.

Any ideas?

Sorry, no idea. We're using a standard phpBB3 forum install, pretty-much. I don't know why ispell in IE should have problems.

It sounds like a JavaScript issue. What version of IE are you using?

Spell checking provided built-in to both Opera and Firefox work fine for me.
