Taking my 76 Holdworth Mistral to C & G tomorrow for a respray, was thinking of black with red lug lining, any ideas as to the original colour. Also would like advice as to original components and if anyone might have some. I have some NOS Weinmann Vanquer brakes and calipers but there is no adjuster for centrepull brakes so feel it would not have used centrepulls. Been on the Holdsworth website but there appears to have been a myriad of components used.

Frames did not come with brazed on hangers for brakes, this was in the days when everything was clamp on. You can see the hangers in the 1976 picture. Brake hangers are available from St John St Cycles and many other places too. Many period levers incorporated adjusters.
