Hi,

My front rim got a zing in it from hitting a pot hole recently.

Any suggestions for a replacement rim? Needs to be 36 hole 700c (I have SON dynamo Hub the rim needs to be laced to).

I weigh 80kg
Bike mostly used for commuting 10 miles each way plus weekend rides upto 100 miles a day
Use bike for lightweight touring
Generally run 25mm tyres (Durano plus at moment).

Cheers

Phil

Easiest and cheapest is a "like for like" replacement.....ie the same rim or one that will use the same length spokes.
Then theres no new spokes to buy, and if you feel like doing a bit of DIY just tape the new rim to the old one and swap the spokes over one by one.

Hmmm ! A pothole  Sounds like a quick claim from your council ! I would and you only need to take a picture
of the hole and measure and date it and show them your wheel, stuff like this can be sorted out within a few weeks.
