I've asked Schwalbe UK to send me some studs, as I've lost a few (5 at the last count).

Has anyone considered gluing them in, possibly with some kind of shoe gloop style flexible adhesive?

Managed to fit a 700x40 on the front and a 35 on the back, magical on last weekend's snowfall...

I've just started using my studded tyres. Did 40gentle miles before venturing out onto main roads.

Now have about 120miles on the tyres, and I've lost 15 studs from the rear tyre.

I emailed Schwalbe and they replied within the hour, offering replacement studs.

I used the website form but still haven't heard anything several days later...

I've lost quite a few from the front now - eight or nine. Disappointing as I hardly ride aggressively and they've had plenty of time to bed in (about a hundred miles now).

Same here - I used the contact form on the website and have had no response

I received an envelope with a fistful of replacement studs at the weekend, and a handwritten note.

Fitting the studs is dead easy - I just used a flat headed screwdriver and a bit of force.

Spent Sunday riding across the Trough of Bowland to Slaidburn. Conditions included Snow, hardpacked / Soft & plenty of ice. Tyres performed flawlesy. Highly recomended.

a little bit of glue won't hurt if replacing studs.

When bedding in I took it easy and ran both tyres down near minimum pressure, I think I've lost two from the rear only over two years of use and I run them through the whole Winter.

I did not get an email response when I asked for some replacement studs from Schwalbe's uk web site, but an envelope of replacements arrived this morning

Schwalbe asked if I had been running at low pressures, as studs are more likely to come out.

Not lost any from mine after a whole winter (and not exactly following the bedding in advice )

They are great when you hit ice though (if you even notice)

I wonder if these Nokian "boot studs" are the same ones used on their tyres?
