Hopefully darwinism will remove all the 'idiots' who think hi-vis & helmets work
Then when everyone realises that actually they perform next to little function in terms of reducing accidents we can get on and start attacking the real problem.
I don't agree with people riding with no lights, I've absolutely even less time for those who bomb along on a pavement/footway because of lack of such.
Yet for the very small fraction of a % of those that don't ride with lights they still get seen, usually with the "I only just saw/nearly didn't see' tagline. Yes it makes life a little more difficult for those of us on the road legally, but you either saw them or you didn't. If they are on the road/path in front of you then unless you're riding/driving with no lights yourself then I fail to understand how you cannot see them.
To want them to come to harm when people constantly invoke darwinism as if to say well if they get killed then it's their tough luck & of their making and is a benefit for mankind that their genes will not be passed down is just utterly ridiculous. There are far more pressing things to worry about.
