I've had mine a while now, and providing they are kept well-polished with shoe polish, they stay ok. I have the "Race" version.
However, they get as wet as any shoe on a bike, and there have been days when I've been in heavy rain all day. They need to be dried out gently like any leather footware, but they are absolutely fine.
Also, they are supremely comfortable.

I own a pair of the Sportivo. You need to look after them properly as they are leather ie keep them clean and polished (it helps with proofing) The hardest thing I've found is getting long enough laces. They take small round laces but as these are usually for 3 or 4 hole shoes they are commonly much too short. The right ones are out there but it took a bit of a search.

I am thinking of buying some dromartis but am trying to get some information. Specifically, it is better for me if the sole is 'flatter', that is when the shoe is sitting flat on the CLEAT (you have to hold it), then the heel will be lower. Since you have some, do you know how these compare to other shoes in this way? Thanks! Richard in the US.

Hi Richard.
I have the "Race" version.
(They need a clean!)
The cleat is lower than the sole of course, and if you put the cleat on a flat surface, the heel is a couple of inches higher.
Is that the info you require?

They are selling off old pattern Storica (SPD style) shoes on ebay. A week ago the price was £99, now £89. Limited sizes and colour. I've got mine thanks

Sizing is slim fit, so maybe go up one size. I take size 42 in civilian shoes and have 43 in Dromarti which will be nice with thin summer socks.

Yes, thank you! I have a picture but don't know how to post it here. You said the heel is a couple of inches high when sitting on the cleat, that is my concern. The less height the better and two inches sounds like a lot. -Richard
