Whaaat do you mean "whenever weather conditions are ok",weather conditions are always ok for cycling. :)

I'm afraid I am also a fine weather rider. I cycle for enjoyment and cycling in the rain is like sunbathing in the rain.
Cheers Alan.

Actually, he slipped and fell on the ice... but don't let the facts get in the way!

He was clinically obese when he died.

Anyone still nursing the notion that Patrick Holford might be something other than a charlatan might enjoy a piece from today's Guardian:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree ... 77,00.html

That, at least, is merely getting-rich-quick at the expense of the gullible.

Holford's assertion that vitamin C is a more effective treatment for HIV/AIDS than AZT is dangerous nonsense: anyone daft enough to take this seriously might end up dead. If you wan t to follow this up just google 'Holford AZT'

I, too, would like to get rich quickly, and I am working on a secret device to make cycles go faster. This involves spokes & magnets, and is based on a Da Vinci design for a perpetual motion machine. Details, and how to purchase, will be revealed very soon: you might like to start saving up.

Do you know what. I didn't know cycling [particularly Touring] was so complicated. After all these years here I am thinking all you have to do is pedal and when you are getting a little tired, feed your face. Silly me. I'm glad I never entered the tour. It would have been a musette-a-mile event for me. For God sake the freedom and well being that cycling gives you is the best diet you can get.

I start the day with a bowl of porridge, a bottle of White Lightning and a mile or two on my bike.

Works a treat.
