Solid-fuel burning folding stove?

Anyone have much experience using one of these little stoves while touring:
http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/Ea ... Stove.aspxI used to use one when I was a kid out hiking/camping to cook mini pancakes and heat up tinned food. Seemed to do the job back then from memory. I'm after something compact for the odd tin reheat but mainly to boil less than half a litre of water for my morning cuppa! I don't really want to carry a liquid fuel trangia or a gas burner.
Cheers.

My son uses one at army cadets and at home. Does the job ok. Cheap enough to try and chuck it if it's no good.
An alternative is the honeystove - more expensive but plenty of options regarding fuel. Takes a trangia, esbit, wood, probably a trangia gas conversion too. Folds flat.

Standard army issue, though the fuel blocks were rectangular.
I seem to remember about 1 block to a pint of water?
Note that the fumes from these things are quite toxic, lethally so in confined areas.

I used one many moons ago. I think it warped and broke, in any case it didn't last long with me. I've got a honey stove and it's great, practically indestructible. You might want to go for the Pocket Stove from backpackinglight.co.uk, it's basically a compact version of the honey stove in its 4 panel configuration and as has been said, will take many kinds of fuel. It's not quite in the same price range as the esbit stove but it'll last many more years.
The best thing about the honey stove is that you can just take what components you need. From the 4 panel setup for quick brews to the hive expansion kit for bbqs and nice roaring fires.

Thanks for the speedy replies and product links! I'd never seen that HONEY STOVE before. That thing is amazing and even though it's more costly than the basic hexi stove, I think I'm going to have to order one! It's pretty much exactly what I am looking for. Oh and as sexy as it is, I think the Ti one may be a little overkill/expensive for me though, hehe!

Get a little gas stove, a little coleman gas stove ...with a resealable gas supply ...a little one.. .... so much cheaper ..so easy ..after 12 hours on the hill, in the forest .. or on the hill, on a bike ,in the forest.. just strike a match and have hot food and heat ...it's a "no brainer" ... why pay for stuff thats more than you need ...... yes i've got a raspberry pi ....lol ...luddites of the world unite !!!...actually don't bother uniting ..... silly idea !!

I think landsurfer74 has a point. A very small stove and associated gas canister, although not packing down quite as small as the honey stove does have the advantage of being able to produce boiling water very quickly. The honey stove option can take 10 minutes or so to get a cup of water boiling although it's certainly more versatile if you're looking to cook, not just rapidly heat water.

I was interested in this but the Youtube video mentions that the complete stove without fuel weighs 'only 300g, just 50g more than a small gas cylinder'. At that rate a small gas stove seems to make a lot more sense.

I've got 3 army hexy burners in the loft. Yes they give off toxic fumes in confined spaces but they're quick, weigh now't and will cook a dinner from a can of stew and a couple of cans of veg/potatoes with room left for a cup of coffee. I usually take one as a backup if going into the sticks.

I got one last year in Go-Outdoors and always thought of it as a back-up stove in case gas ran out or running short. I may use it on my coming coast to coast walk this year for brewing water for water for a cuppa.
