Spotted this if anyone's interested. If I didn't already have one, I might go for it myself...
There have been 8 bids on it, and it's currently at £26.50

I see the bid ended at £42, good buy. I have the same bivvy bag, in gore-tex and made by Survival Aids, but the inside of mine is plain green. It is a super piece of kit, very roomy, especially around the shoulders, giving room for the kit. But sorry to disappoint, but mine is not for sale :( However, I maybe selling my Alpkit Hunka bivvy bag, which is unused and is in excellent condition. I will see what price to set it at. :)

I have the Terra Nova Jupiter with hooped pole. Wish it had one near my feet too, cos I had the nasty experience of a rat running over me last year! Still, it's saved me hundreds of pounds, enabling my sneaky wild camping.

I suppose I could stick a bag down near my feet, to raise the whole thing off my body, but I always leave the panniers on the bike, and sticking my massive food bag down there would encourage er - rats to nibble through...

you could always get a 16" inner tube, pump it up and stick it down near your feet. :o

A bit like the Topeak tent that uses the front wheel as the support at one end (& the rest of the bike at the other). Although it isn't a particularly light 1 person tent for all that.

I don't think it is still available, but I have an old Survival Aids hooped version which has been useful in the past for "discrete" camping. I've not used it for a while though as the groundsheet part started to leak and I've not got round to/ decided whether to sort it out. :(

How did you know it was a rat?

Being the middle of the night, my tired brain assumed it was a cat jumping on my stomach. Later, and more alert, I realised it wasn't heavy enough to be a cat, and remembered there were overflowing litter bins all along the lakeside. It was by Lago Trasimeno, Umbria, and I'd been delighted to find the wooden decking of the weekend snack bars and chalets. All nice and deserted in May!

And not a bad idea about the inflated inner tube - but might make the bivvy stink of rubber!

I'm not sure if this is Room 101 or non-celeb version of I'm a celebrity.

I take my hat off to you and it's not a natty pink jobbie like yours, either.

Mm, not sure about that one. I wouldn't of thought so.

Rats, I had cats in my Laser Comp tent, sniffing in the early morning on my Cleveland Way walk the other year, smelling my half eaten can of Tuna. Looking outside was 10 hungry young cats all lined up on the grass verge and looking a bit wild.

I'm bivvy a section of the Cleveland Way this week-end on the coast, to see how the Hunka fairs up.
