I use the bag from a 3 litre wine box. Its very light, strong, folds down to tiny storage, has a tap and of course its free

When I was young and foolish and used to run mountain marathons that was what everybody used for the mid camp. They do work well but its such a chore having to drink all that wine!

Take the inside of a wine box!
The 'bladders' are typically 3 litres capacity, light as a feather and tough as old boots...
This is great 'cos you have to empty the contents first. The first time I did this, I simply opended the tap and let it run out down the sink, then someone pointed out that you could drink the contents, so I asked a neighbour round to do this for me. Later on a friend said, 'Why don't you drink the contents yourself?', which I thought was an excellent suggestion aand will definitely think about this option next time I do it...
