All that useless old stuff may just turn into a treasured archive at some point.
Two years on somebody may wish to look back at it.

Good idea Gaz.

Mind you, there's some useless stuff in Tea Shop too!

Very good idea, Gaz.

I'll set the auto delete function ON if there are no substantive objections.

Surely if it's there it's not actually doing anyone any harm? Sometimes it is actually useful to look at other people's rides of various sorts and get ideas for route planning. It's not as if it's a significant amount of data so there doesn't seem anything to be gained by deleting it (in other words, even without substantive objections, I'm not sure I see the substantive argument in favour).

Good point.
The For Sale etc auto deletes because there's no point in keeping them. But is there?
It could be interesting to see how previous sales had gone if you had something similar to sell.

I can see the argument one way or another for the Charities section TBH. It's just that I like a good clean computer without being clogged up with unused and outdated stuff, so the idea of auto deleting appeals to me.

Thanks for the reminder.

Auto-deletion is on, for topics, where the last post is more than 11 months old.

I have updated the INFO sticky.
