I wonder how many DAs/Section took part in this weekend ladies only cycle ride. In Essex the Havering Section had 11 ladies out aged between 12 and 78, and what lovely weather for cycling they had too.

I know this is last year's thread, but I thought I would revive it.
So: who is taking part in 'Five Miles to Fabulous' this year?
Me! I cycled with one of the Devon rides this afternoon and it was great fun! I ended up doing about 10 miles. In fact, most of us did more than 5 miles. How fabulous are we??
Our small group - about 10 of us - met in Kentisbeare at 14.30 and cycled to Uffculme where we met our other 'group' - of 1(!) - and stopped for tea -and in some cases, cake. And then we made our way back to Kentisbeare. Our one Uffculme rider was then accompanied back to her starting point. The others cycled home and I went off for a cuppa with one of the other riders, safe in the knowledge that the dinner was in hand ... and in oven!
It has been a lovely day: perfect weather and good company topped off with a real sense of achievement.
Thanks to Jen for leading our ride.

We had about 13 on the Oxford ride, led by Amanda. Having completed the circuit, most of us took up the offer to do a second 5 miles. Some pretty places around the river and canal, not too much roadwork.

Gave it a miss this year because I'm 8 months pregnant and it just isn't comfortable to ride much anymore. Next year!
