I've been horrified by some of your experiences,particularly concerning internet sites such as Gumtree .
Until i read what had been written on this forum i was nieve enough to believe that what was being sold on these sites was above board . I had always assumed (obviously wrongly) that these companies carried out some form of basic check before allowing them to be advertised on their sites . In fairness,i suppose the shere volume of products sold on their sites would make this virtually impossible . Still you think they would be concerned when proof is supplied that the goods were stolen .
I'm looking for a s/h mtb frame (summer project) and i was going to search these sites to try and pick up a bargain . I'm not so sure "bargain" is the right word anymore .
Anybody know of any genuine sites out there where i could find what i need .
And as far as Local Councils are concerned . . ."By the people for the people" . . . I think not!
