Hello
I am fitting out a LEJOG bike and will be using these as mounts for the front panniers:

Please can you tell me whether I need to buy a specific type of pannier bag to fit these racks - my question is prompted by the concerm that the rack frames seem to lack any eyelets or hooks or other obvious ways to secure the pannier.
If you have surplus stock of suitable then please do get in touch? (I am also looking for some rear panniers too as my current ones are only 25L sized).
Thank you.

Re: Bags for Avenir low rider racks
Have you bought the low-riders yet? These sort are not ideal (or downright dangerous depending on your view point) as they have nothing to brace them laterally so there is a risk of them hitting the front wheel. http://www.parkersofbolton.co.uk/p-720- ... -rack.aspx is a better style. If it was me I'd put them on ebay and get a different sort (take a look at viewtopic.php?f=5&t=61224&p=521923&hilit=+low+riders+#p521923 to see what can go wrong).

Thanks for the feedback. Luckily I haven't invested yet and I can see how your recommendation is better than my choice!! Thank you.
It looks like they should work better with a wider range of panniers too.
Still looking for bags.....

Re: Bags for Avenir low rider racks
The hooks etc are normally on the panniers rather than on the racks.
The racks are expected to provide a couple of horizontal rails around 8 or 10mm thick for the panniers to hang on and something lower down for a bungee hook or other method to stop it moving around.
I used those that were shown to you and I had redrill some holes to make space on the rails in the right places for my pannier hooks.
