JOG Start next week looks cold !

Post by Mike777 »

Hi all

Seems a few people are starting their E2E this weekend....from JOG

Is it just me or does it look cold next week (sites like metcheck are reporting 'feels' like below freezing all week)

I am beginning to panic abit ! ! !

Don't mind it being cold but snow on the roads is a different matter :? :? :?

Anyone else concerned ?

Regards

Mike

Hmmm, netweather is a bit more positive, predicting 10 deg C (and 'feels like' 5 C). But slightly more alarming is that it's predicting winds of around 51mph on sunday, when I start from JOG. That has prompted a last minute change from the 115 mile stage via Altnaharra to the more direct 80 mile route down the A9 to Tain (and possibly a big detour to miss the bridge). I know I'll still get battered, but at least it won't last as long ... Let's all get together and form a big chaingang!

Doesn't Metcheck always report a "feels like" of freezing beyond about 3 days in the future! :D Or at least when it isn't reporting wind speeds of several hundred mph or not working at all!! :?
