I live in Wimborne,Dorset but my poor old mom lives in Walsall,West Mids. I normally drive both ways but it cost about 70 quid so i thought i will cycle instead.
I normaly drive via Warminster,Bath,M4,M5 then off the motorway at junction with the M6.Any suggestions for a reasonable route thats not too busy,but not off the beaten track.I would be most grateful as my mom is missing her little boy. thanks T

You can look at the Sustrans routes. You will start off on the N25 through Cowgrove up to Blandford which you probably know well. Link below, I dont think they are the fastest but probably the most scenic.
