Hi thanks for the reply. I am a very young 65 and work in a Special needs school in St Helens. I was a motorcyclist, sold my bike for a pedal based machine about four years and now totally gone on self propulsion. I have a number of bikes and have just built up and expedition tourer. I camped years ago and now have the bug to tour on two wheels. I intend to do the way of the roses this year and the Lejog next and try get out most weekends covering 30 to 40 miles. I have also done a few charity rides from Manchester to Blackpool. I have got a decent tent, cooker, sleeping bag and mat etc and thought it would be nice to have company over three to four days. Currently wondering the possibility of also riding to Morecombe from St Helens as well.
KInd regards
John.

Date wise I am thinking of the 5th or 6th of August to start the Way of the Roses and complete over 4 days, 5 if necessary. Has anyone travel from around St Helens to Morecambe by bike. If so would be great to hear of your route and camping, problems etc.
Regards barbelfisher.
