On other forums they normally have a page where you can see new posts or messages from the past 24 hours or so. The CTC Forum seems to lack this feature and I think suffers for it - there are some interesting posts which are lost I think as I don't have the time or inclination to look at several different sections for anything new. To be able to check just one page and see what is new since my last visit would be useful to more than just me I think. I don't believe the amount of traffic on the Forum would make it unworkable due to the number of new posts. All it needs is a list of threads which have been updated recently.

Of course this feature may already be available and I just haven't found it yet, in which case a hint from someone would be appreciated.

UPDATE! No sooner do I post the above and I discover this feature does exist - but it is well hidden - at least it was to me. To find it go to Board Index and you can see the link in the line below the date. It would be helpful if the link was on every page but it looks as if you have to go back to Board Index to see it.

I usually just open the new posts page. Open all the links I want to read in new tabs and then read/reply at my leisure. I would be easy to set it up to appear on every page but what would be the advantage?

I use the 'View active topics' page which looks very similar if not the same as the 'View new posts' page, both of these links appear near the top on every page of the forum on the Subsilver 2 board style that I have my preferences set to.

If you are logged in you get a lot more of what you are asking for than you do when you are not.
