My idea is to start to travel by bicycle on Summer 2013. But I would like to take one month holidays on Spring for pedaling around the UK and checking that I am happy with all my gear.
I started traveling alone, but on the way I met a Latvian girl -my gf-, who will travel with me. I have to consider about the gear that I would travel on all kind of weather (but I will try to be in warm places as long as I can), that the gear is for two persons and that have to be durable. The idea is to wild camp and travel as cheap as possible.
I will write down a possible "packing list" and I will accept any suggestions, anything to add or to void.
On blue I will write the things I already have.
On orange the things that I am considering a concrete product or that I specially need your input.
On green things that I consider generic and with almost no value so I don't need to think or discuss about it.
Things with * means important. Things without means that probably are not necessary.
Camping Essentials
Tent * --> I would love the Hillberg Nallo GT 3, but it's really expensive. Any other 4 seasons, light and better value tent? In case that I go for Hillberg... Nallo GT 3 or better another?
Groundsheet for tent
Tent pegs * (consider upgrading; pegs that come with tents tend to be flimsy) -> 6x Tent pegs, Alpkit Spikes (clearance offers) -> 5,60
Sleeping bag * --> I am almost decide to buy Alpkit Pipedream 600. Any recommendation?
Sleeping bag liner (silk is light and comfortable)
Sleeping mat * --> I would love the Exped Synmat 7, but I would buy first a Therm-a-rest Z Lite Sol and I would carry with it as a back up if I cannot sleep comfy with it.
Headlamp * --> We have 2 Headlamps Tikka 2 XP
Water bladder * --> Any recommendation?
