Problem solved - I think :)
I renewed one of the black gromets and also used the pdfe tape.
Pumped up the bottle and did not see any bubbles when held under water

Fingers crossed for the real test when I lite up :roll:

I suffered from a leaking gas stove when camping in the Pyrenees once. I fixed it with a splash of brandy - the liquid lubricated the rubber seal enough to stop the leak. So the lesson learned was to ensure there was a bottle of brandy available when camping!
