Just back from a couple of weeks touring in Murcia region of Spain and had difficulty getting the locally available meths equivalent (alcohol de quemar) to burn properly.
It was hard to light even with a lighter and once lit it just burned slowly and never really reached the point where the Trangia burner fired up properly with the flames coming from the rim holes rather than just the central liquid.
I tried three different brands and they were all the same more or less.
Took ages to boil water and cook meals, and on a couple of occasions I gave up waiting.
Last time I was in Spain three years ago 'alcohol de quemar' worked fine, same as meths here or alcool a bruler in France.
Anyone else had any recent experience with Trangia fuel in Spain?
