Come on tell us how to deal with them - others may have the same problem.

Tighten them up with a small adjustable spanner, they have flats on the threaded bit where the dustcap screws on :)

Interesting answers - thanks.

I haven't used Geax tubes but have got 26 x 1.5 Geax Roadster slick tyres on my single speed mountain bike and they are excellent - only ever had one puncture.

I've also used Decathlon tubes quite a lot and found them to be good - wonder who makes the? In fact wonder who makes Decathlon frames?

One spare tube!
I always carry two spare tubes, except In winter when it's cold and or wet I carry three and a PRK

I always carry two spare tyres - one in the saddle bag and t'other round my waist :(

Cheapest source for inner tubes

I think this is probably as cheap as most, but I don't think it will make them any more palatable.

There is a metal Schrader dust cap that has the core tightening tool integrated onto it.
Otherwise, get a Schrader tool. The tool has a tap to clean the internal thread, and a die for the outer thread.

Very good in what way? Noticeably less punctures? I've only ever used Spesh since I lived next to a concept store and went past evans on my commute. My new LBS stocks Schwalbe so was going to give them a go.

Altogther more robust than others I've tried, less chance of valve parting company at the base.I can't say they puncture less as I don't puncture a lot(usually two to three times a year) whichever tube I use.
Meic's right though, they're not light,TBH I've never really looked at saving weight on inner tubes preferring reliability, but it could be worth while for lighter tyres,60g saving is quite a bit as he says and thinner tubes can add to comfort too.
One word of warning about schwalbe tubes is that they have a threaded removable valve(presta),it's always a good idea to tightening it up before fitting as I've had a couple of slack ones over the years which can unscrew with valve cap when topping up.

Thanks, I don't think it will make much difference on my steel bike ;) and I use 700 schrader on that anyway.

Had a dreaded p this morning on a presta valves tube. Dug out the spare tube and prepared to fit it and noticed it had a Shraeder valve, but... The blessed thing wouldn't go through the hole in my Rigida Grizzly rim!

Oi Colin!

But, I had a repair kit, so all was not lost. Got home looked in the drawer where I keep spare tubes, they are all Shraeder! They will be ok on my MTB, but useless on my tourer. Got to Decathlon to stock up tubes, guess what, they all appear to be Shraeder, dozens of the things, .b*** French shop! Then I get the assistant who produces a box of Presta.
Question is, shall I attack the rims with a drill making them suitable for both?

Back to OP, always buy from Decathlon these days; 2 for £2.99. Never had a problem with them.

On 200k audax rides I always carry 4 tubes (just in case). I have punctured 3 times on (a couple of) rides when I've been carrying 3 tubes.
