Both between two socks and between the shoe and overshoes. They do a very good job of keeping your feet dry, and making you feel foolish when you put them on/off - so long as you don't get too hot...
Although I don't tend to suffer from cold feet, so maybe it's best to ignore me
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way.No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse. There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.
With this thread in mind I did some tests this morning. I was going out for a ride so put on one Aldi MTB shoes and one Exustar. This did not even last until I got outside the leather one came off, it was colder. Then I tried one shoe with the normal insole and the other 99p Memory Foam one. I went outside to get the bike out and sort it out, soon I was back in to fit the other foam insole in. The difference was really noticeable in a few minutes.
I was wearing expensive wool walking and my feet were warm. So I tried tightening the laces really tight on one shoe and sure enough I slackened them after a few minutes.
I did think about trying one over boot and one cotton sock, with the other foot good wool sock and no over boot. But did not bother today maybe another time.
I can not recommend 99p Memory Foam insoles enough for keeping the feet warmer.
