Off down the Danube 21 May

So, at last it is getting near, Saturday 21 May I board the Euro Bike Express bus in Sheffield Meadowhall and travel to Strasbourg and then on to Donaueschingen by train.
Afternoon Sunday 22 May sees me at the beginning of my "easy" cycle tour down the Danube to Passau, Vienna, Budapest and then onward through Serbia to Belgarde and eventually, hopefully, into Romania and onwards to the Black Sea.
I hope to celebtate my 68th birthday in Budapest!
Whatever happens, this years long cycle/camping tour is going to be a bit more relaxed than my cycling pilgrimage from home to Santiago de Compostela in 2004.
Travelling mainly by my "velocopanther", interspersed with relaxing boat trips on the Danube and the final return home by Euro Bike Express from Strasbourg.
Eight weeks of camping by velo. Whi needs a car!
Last year I cycled 4894 miles in all and did less than 2000 mile in my car!
