Cofee Mate is still available (Amazon stock it as do many other places). Not sure how it would do in tea though. You can buy whitener that is supposedly suitable for tea or coffee but don't know how good it may be. Tesco (& presumably others) list an instant white tea from Typhoo but again I've no idea if it is any good or whether it is "almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea" (THHGTTG).

I think Nido is the best of the powdered Milks i've come across.

A cup of tea is an essential for me. The following may help
Plastic mugs taint the tea, I've found Titanium is better.
I use one cup tea bags and just let it brew for 30 seconds before fishing the tea bag out.
I then let the tea cool for about 10 minutes in the mug. This stops me burning my mouth on the Ti mug and allows you to add the Nido without it curdling. I use a level dessert spoon per mug ( approx 3g )

For porridge i mix about 3 dessert spoons of Nido with a little cold water to form a paste then add about 150ml of cold water. i heat this on the stove to boiling point, kill the heat and add 30g of Ready Brek. stir well and you are ready to go.
This method stops me burning the porridge which i used to do a lot.

Hope this helps

I've experimented a lot in this area and have made filter coffee with a Jetboil etc.
Kenko and Nescafe and others make a 2 in 1 with built in coffee mate equivalent. I've found if you use one of these sachets plus a plain sachet together you get a damned nice coffee. That UHT milk is frightful

I bought a packet of ten sachets of 2 in 1 instant coffee in my local Poundland on Friday... can you guess how much I paid?

Typhoo or for that matter BrookBond instant teas are okay but i must admit that i now favour kenco/nescafe 3in1 sachets - no mucking with milk, several days supply fit inside my kettle with the stove along with a couple of hot chocs!
Convention? what's that then?

Coffeemate is fine in tea (and porridge!) and is available in supermarkets. Mixes much better than ordinary milk powder which seems to have got worse or maybe I'm just using the wrong brand.
Tried Nescafe Cafe Menu Cappucino - disgusting!
