Helmet Cameras

Post by Milfred Cubicle »

Can anyone recommend a decent helmet camera for under £100? Ideally it would need a couple of hours worth of battery life and be waterproof.
I've decided to get one after watching 'war on Britain's roads'-the programme was a bit rubbish, but the camera principle is good. Working on Sod's Law, as soon as you switch it on, nothing will happen. Roll on boring footage...

Can't offer any advice on cameras but I got this on my very first outing!
(I was quite pleased, as in pleased I hadn't wasted my cash since I too thought nothing would happen).

"Boring footage" is far better than dangerous incidents, which is what I felt 'Gaz' on the 'War' programme was actively looking for. He certainly seemed to revel in the confrontations :(

What do you do with footage once you've got it though? Just post it on youtube? What does that do. Unless you're hurt the cops probably wont do anything unless the media get hold of it.

No - he is just used to them - he has many many ours of tedious footage, but that wouldn't have made it to the programme (it was not a documentary)
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

Don't helmet manufacturers advise against attaching anything to the helmet?

Also, they make you look like a tellytubby.
