B/B axle length

Post by chop66 »

Hi, Can anyone advise me of what size b/b axle should I use for a double chainset?

At the mo I'm using a triple chainset and the b/b are cups & bearings.

I think perhaps I should use a sealed unit and if so any recommendations, shimano and axle lenght?

Its going into a 1980s Roberts Touring Frame

Once again,many thanks

it varies with the chainset model.

BTW if you have a choice, I would normally advise that you replace your triple with another triple.

If it is just your chainrings that are worn out, you may be able to buy new ones cheaper than you think; e.g. I recent bought a new set of three chainrings for £15 + postage from Spa cycles.

cheers
