Does anyone know a website which contains a reasonably detailed map of the Pennine Cycleway. The official websites have one s that are too small and lacking in detail for planning. I suppsoe i could buy the official maps but already have paper OS for almost all the area and memory map os for all of it.
Thanks
Pete

If you have Mem Map then it should be marked all the way from Southport to Hornsea with the large green dotted line the Sustrans routes are marked with.

Aaaargh! EDIT - I misread the heading for the Trans Pennine Trail - BUT the same comment should apply if Mem Map is fairly recent. We did this ride in 2004 from Derby to Berwick - excellent, but some tough hills in the Peak District

I did from Dent to Barwick upon Tweed and a gem of a ride, esq in Wark Forest. http://www.cycle-routes.org/penninecycleway/ I have the maps for the complete route, if you could have them on loan from me to transer the route to your O.S. Maps, Let me know.
Pete,
do you mean the Trans Penine Trail or the Penine Cycleway, on e goes east west and the other north south, anyway which ever. I found it best to goto the Sustrans website and use their online map, which does go down to O.S. level and copied the route onto the mapping software. It's not too bad as you can have both programs open at the same time. Hope that is of some help.

Thanks for these replies chaps. This is the first request for advice I've posted here and your replies are informative as well as kind.
I didn't realise that the Sutsrans maps went into such detail and I'll try and copy the route from that.
Thanks Asdace for the loan offer.
My memory map is quite new but most of my maps are older editions so don't have the cycle route overlays.
Does anybody know if Memmap overlays for cycle routes are available on the web?
