Hi, has anyone ever used route LF2 before?

I am planing to cycle from Amsterdam to Brussels using this and have a couple of questions.

Firstly, how hard is it to find the begining of it from the ferry terminals (arriving on a ferry from Newcastle)
and
How well sign posted is the route?

cheers

Cycling from Ijmuiden into Amsterdam is mostly a case of heading east with the Noordzee Kanaal on your left. It gets a little complicated as you approach Amsterdam due to the route frequently changing as a result of newly built roads and industrial develpments, but don't let me put you off the idea..
You might consider the Flying Ferries which carry you from Velsen-Zuid on the outskirts of Ijmuiden right into Amsterdam Centraal station, thay take bikes and provide a frequent service. There is a cafe at the F/F ferry teminal.

I haven't followed the LF2, but generally speaking route following is not a problem over there, and the locals are friendly if you get lost!

I've done quite a few days on the LF2, it's well signed and hard to get lost. You can join it from the centre of Ijmuiden, which is maybe less than a mile from the port.

My wife an i cycled from the ferry down the coast and eventually to Bruges, and found the whole route perfectly signposted and an absolute joy! If you require any more information i would be happy to help. We passed through the Bloementhal National park through Zanndefoort through the dunes passing Waasenaar, Hook of Holland through the wee islands until eventuall arriving in Belgium. Campsites are ace, cycle paths better surfaces than our roads here is West of Scotland, and the folk are sooooo helpful!
You will love it!

Hi,
if you intend to use a GPS device for navgation you can find a gpx-file for downlaod on biroto.eu. biroto is a portal for "Bicycle routes and tours for multi-day bicycle touring in Europe".
Even if you do not need the GPS track, you can use the map on that page and zoom into it until you are at street level and you will see that LF2 is starting in Amsterdam next to the Central Station.

Hey guys! I'll be going from Den Hague down south to Bruges. Does anyone know if the camping is plentiful? It's a long trip so I'd be splitting it between two days at least, but there aren't a lot of lodging options. I do have my tent, though.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that LF2 starts at the rear of Amsterdam Centraal railway station:
