I have 2 Windows phones 920 and a 5 something or another ( both yellow) I was just trying to find a easier option with the best potential for you. I know that my phones battery life when using maps, gps and screen is short.
Tell us how things go on your test rides with the apps
if you're not going offroad, copilot is good on a phone. used it for years as the car gps. costs about £20 for the app with lifetime map updates. not sure how much extra europe maps will be.
but personally i don't use the phone for the bike, i'd need the screen on full power all the time to follow the map. the garmin 705 or 800 i have used is a better option than a phone.

Not sure if this quite answers the question you were asking but 'Run The Map' will load a gpx and allow you to put it in the background so you can follow it. I assume you know about the microsoft 'files' application that allows you to open stuff on your SD card. hth, Bruce.
