I have 2 Windows phones 920 and a 5 something or another ( both yellow) I was just
trying to find a easier option with the best potential for you. I know that my phones battery life
when using maps, gps and screen is short.

Tell us how things go on your test rides with the apps :)

if you're not going offroad, copilot is good on a phone. used it for years as the car gps. costs about £20 for the app with lifetime map updates. not sure how much extra europe maps will be.

but personally i don't use the phone for the bike, i'd need the screen on full power all the time to follow the map. the garmin 705 or 800 i have used is a better option than a phone.

Not sure if this quite answers the question you were asking but 'Run The Map' will load a gpx and allow you to put it in the background so you can follow it. I assume you know about the microsoft 'files' application that allows you to open stuff on your SD card.

Thanks for your reply. I 'd avoind a second phone. I would rather prefer to travel light and not going crazy with the eletronic gizmos.

I'll try those apps and I'll feedback you.
