Calais to Caen

I know this is just a short trip in comparison to many others, but it will be my first one abroad. There are four of us (students) planning on cycling and camping for about a week. Does anyone have any advice or information about this sort of thing, or know of a good resource to find it.

I think a general comment is that you would be cycling head on into the prevailing wind direction. If other things were equal (though they rarely are) you ought to consider going in the opposite direction.

Should be a fairly easy and comfortable ride and if you do get a nice warm tail wind even better!

I'd be very interested in your experiences as I've often been tempted to do that route.
