Cheers andymiller, I've opened up a zip file but I'm still at a loss, I guess it's for people with Garmins and that sort of thing, I just rely on old-fashioned maps! I thought there might be a map page as with other websites.
Thanks, Slowroad

Re: Finding a campsite in europe
I tend to not plan very far ahead as well and prefer to use maps - my system (If it is actually a system) is to work out where there is a campsite for the first night (google and all that stuff)- really depend on how late in the day I arrive in the country of my choice - if I arrive early I generally have no idea where I will be the first night - and then find the biggest bookshop I can find in the first decent sized place I get to - Generally I have always managed to find a map showing campsites (although not always very accurately) - between that and an occasional visit to tourist offices (not always the most helpful of places as they often only cater for the area you are in - not where you are going to - and the one one you want has generally closed by the time you get there) and just keeping my eyes peeled for clues I generally get by - if all else fails I have become quite competent at camping sauvage
If it is late or early in the year if and you dont do the computer thing you really have no choice if you want to find campsites that are still open but to purchase and carry one of the camping bricks that are published by ADAC et.el

Thanks Psmiffy I don't want to plan much further than the night before either. Not sure how much it will require booking. In the uk 9/10 times i've been able to phone on the day and get a pitch.
Re: Finding a campsite in europe
Before you go Work out your route in Google maps, then, section by section, search for camp sites. If you click on a site you will see a box. Have a look at their website, read the reviews. If you like the site click on the star in the box and this will save the site and put a gd star on it. You need a Google account to do this. On the road look at Google maps on your phone, click on the star, this will give you site details and a phone e number to click on and check or book. You can save whole areas of Google maps onto your phone.
Reuse, recycle, to save the planet.... Auctions, Dump, Charity Shops, Facebook Marketplace, Ebay, Boots. Old House, and a Banger ..... And cycle as often as you can...... Every little helps!
