Cycleops rollers with magnetic resistance.

Post by Bowedw »

I am in need of help to set the magnetic resistance bar on the rollers. The web site shows very little and the unit that bolts to the rollers with the rear roller nuts always seems to make contact with the roller what ever I do, its does seem as if the two mounting brackets are to short. Any help would be appreciated, I feel as if its just an expensive add on that was never seriously designed to work, or am I missing something vital in setting it up.

full instructions here;

brackets are slotted, and shims are provided so you can set the clearance accurately to start with.

cheers

Thanks for reply. I have seen their web site and the information given does not bear much resemblance to reality. I was looking for some practical advice from someone who has experience of the magnetic resistance product as what ever i do it ends up making contact with the roller. I am using the rollers without it at present and its hard enough as it is but I don't like to be beaten by a product that seems simple to fit. Anyway, Thanks again for your input, perhaps the penny will drop and I will get to the bottom of it.

Can you post pictures?

I have a CycleOps turbo & the set-up instructions that came with that were easy to follow and spot on.
