Fantastic buy?

Post by 1942alexander »

Has anyone any experience of this BION CY-533AC cycle computer on Ebay. It does altitude, cadence, heart rate, temperature and a host of other useful things, all for thirty odd pounds. The only downside is that it has to come from Australia, at a cost of sixteen quid. It seems a fantastic buy or am I missing something?

It's almost certainly from China. Looking for something similar in DealExtreme, KaiDomain or BestOfferBuy may yield something pretty similar (though likely under a different name) but with lower postage.

Cadence and heart rate need extra sensors. If they are included it looks pretty good value even with the postage.
Note that computer temperatures are the temperature of the computer, and will be considerably above the real temperature on a sunny day

The item is made in Taiwan and comes with all the extras e.g. chest strap for HR, transmitter for cadence, fitting kit. I did make a small error. I thought this was a cheaper HR model than another one I found at 42 pounds but it appears that the thirty nine pounds model does not include HR, but even at 42 pounds, this has got to be hard to beat. BION, who sell it, are the Australian OEM factory for CATEYE and POLAR it says in the listing, both makes I currently use and like. I'm trying to put in a link to the item in EBAY but failing miserably.
