The White Hart in Littleton-Upon-Severn, South Glous. has started doing free camping for cyclist's and walkers. They have a huge orchard behind the pub and this summer are allowing walkers/cyclists to pich there. All they ask is that you 'book in' at the bar so they know your there and that you keep the orchard litter free. They are also doing breakfast in the morning but you must book this the night before! If you want any more info. then you will have to give them a ring.

What a great idea, will pull in some trade for the pub and everyone will be happy all round. Let's hope it is a success and more pubs do the same!

Two other pubs offering camping, not free but cheap, are the Burtle Inn at Burtle, Somerset, about 10 miles W of Glastonbury (camp in the orchard, drink cider from last years apples in the bar) and the Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge, N. Yorks, high up on the Moors 4 miles N of Hutton-le-Hole

Great! Thanks for that - i was struggling to find some cheap acommodation near bristol for my bike ride - this is just what i was looking for! It would be great if more pubs would do the same.
