Very lightweight.

Especially the chain.

And the tyres.....

BTW I bet those bolted joints can creak like fury if they have a mind to!

cheers

Bolted/clamped lugs?
Sounds a great idea if you want to dismantle everything to fit into a suitcase for air travel.

Well i think it`s lovely you(Mostly)cynical lot

They must have cost an arm and a leg at the time.

I`d not heard of them before i saw this one on Ebay the other day. There seems to be very little out there that i can find about them.

as a piece of interesting cycling history it has a lot going for it. As a functional bicycle.... meh... not so much.

My experience of old French aluminium parts is, fortunately, restricted to mainly to thing like cranks. I say fortunately, because IME such parts corrode and break with an enthusiasm normally only shared by that nation's farmers for 'lorry-at-a-time' barbequed lamb.

I might be cynical, but if so, it is born from bitter experience. I expect that 20 minutes with the dye penetrant would deter only the most foolhardy from actually riding the thing....

cheers
