I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has done this tour. In particular, is it all on tarmac and suitable for a road bike?

My wife has just done this route. It's all tarmac. She found B&B remarkably difficult to find,- local TIC very helpful

I had planned to camp; did your wife happen to notice whether there are campsites along the route? In overall terms, was the trip enjoyable/worthwhile?
