at least theyre being honest about it. There are a lot of drivers out there with the same attitude who won't admit it. This ones wearing a label. The downside, I suppose, is that they probably don't know what it means

The T-shirt I saw was:
"How's My Rowing? Ring 0800 BACKPAIN"
"Little Green Men Are Everywhere... ...But Mostly On Traffic Lights."

Yes, I've seen that sticker too. Not on a 4x4 though. On a little hatch back in rural wales driven by a young lady.
What on earth is she thinking? :(

why does every cycling forum hate car drivers, especially 4x4s?

I'm a keen cyclist and yes I drive a 4x4, I'm not a bad driver if anything the worst drivers on roads I meet are bus drivers!!!

its only the few 4x4 drivers that give the rest a bad name, same as with the bikes

I don't hate car drivers joe (I am one) but they keep trying to kill me - some through clumsiness and some on purpose so it tends to make me wary of them. 4x4 drivers often seem the worst of the second category*.

Not all drivers - I'm frequently grateful for the many are very considerate is a bit of consideration for my presence asking too much?

*cars are designed to isolate people from their surroundings and do so very well, and 4x4's even more so, so they make people feel invincible. ROSPA say that driving a car is the most dangerous thing that most people will do in their lives, unless thyre into high risk sports - free climbing, base jumping and the like. Do people realise that when they drive - i don't think so!

I actually agree with this, I know I am in control of a possible weapon, but used properly can be a useful tool, as with so many things.

But as a driver I know how they think, so I know where to place myself on the roads.

I just wish people would stop stereo typing 4x4 drivers as bad

I would just like to update my opinion most 4x4s I meet are good, its just school run mums and range rover owners that are the bad ones. and the worst I've found to day, ordinary family cars e.g. four door saloons and estates. Or could it be the londoners invading the countryside with their terrible driving abilitys

I have a problem with a F*CK U attitude to poor (dangerous) driving, regardless of vehicle.

And, well driven or not, there is something of a F*CK U attitiude to many drivers of 4x4 cars - but not all of them (I live in the country). Even if you drive a 4x4 for a good reason, you should be sensitive to that.

So I think a F*CK U message on the back of any car is in poor taste. A F*CK U message on the back of 4x4 is in poor taste twice over.

Sory, but it is just a lowering of standards and common decency, gernerally. Is the education/parental system so bad that people need to express themselves in this way either on the back of cars or tee shirts - or is this what is known as "subtle" these days? Rant over (for all the good it will do me).
