A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.

Re: LV Advert...
That advert annoys the hell out of me in so many ways, I can't for the life of me fathom how many of the ads get through the ASA rules..dangerous driving, careless driving, obvious illegal maneouvres etc
Re: LV Advert...
I agree, that advert is a total disgrace. If they think that is acceptable driving then LV should be avoided
Power to the pedals
Re: LV Advert...
Complain to advertising standards?
There was an advert lifted a couple of years ago because the cyclists were not wearing helmets, so dangerous driving should be adoddle to have it removed!

I complained to the ASA about several ads for 'don't bother looking where you're going' automatic stop safety systems.

Re: LV Advert...
I don't think that's the advert: Steering technique is crap but she does seem to slow down whilst driving through the carnival. No sign of any narrowly avoided collision as per the OP.

Thanks Big T, now I get it. Not seen the ad, but starting to make sense now.
Sounds like the driver should pay high premiums to these folk (if that's what they insure).

Of course that is the LV official channel, and bombing the comments with criticism about the poor driving etc would be very, very naughty?
