Thinking of selling my Thorn Nomad

I'm considering selling my Thorn Nomad. Haven't put it on for sale board yet as wanted to try and gauge what the demand for these is. I've recently got into Sportives and the bike is too heavy for those so thinking of changing to something lighter.

To use a phrase from the motor trade its "fully loaded" - cost very nearly £1400 two years ago and has only had relatively light use and still looks like new.

Spec includes 531 front and rear carriers
45 cc Modolo drops
Upgraded Shimano Deore XT hubs
Shimano deore 9 speed gearset with bar end levers
etc etc

Would anyone be kind enough to venture what the demand might be and more importantly what sort of price this might go for before I decide to take the plunge.

BTW I'm not interested in any part exchanges or swaps right now

I sold mine in as new condition recently. I 'only' managed to get £600 for it.

Thanks that is the sort of thing I was looking for. Personally I probably wouldn't sell at that price. Did you sell on this forum or somewhere else?

Save it for a winter iron & camping holiday bike. There's always room for two! :D :D

Hello,
I actually advertised all the usual places and then Ebay sold it! Ebay usually gets a higher price. The main problem is that the bike is no longer made and SJSC are selling a new bike at £999:00. As a matter of interest I 'replaced' it with a new Sherpa which I find a better ride too!
